Vonnegut's 'New' Book

Kurt Vonnegut, an esteemed author and humanist of notable fame, died in 2007. However, that apparently doesn’t stop him from releasing new books. Look at the Birdie, a collection of 14 unpublished stories will be released on October 20th, 2009. The stories, surprisingly, were written before Vonnegut’s fame and before he published his first book. It is said that the shorts are written by a Vonnegut who is just finding his comic voice for the first time. The story matter deals with the era of growth and reflection following World War II. It will be a nice addition to the collection of any Vonnegut fans out there. I know I’ll be picking a copy up, just to infer a little bit more about the man himself. R.I.P.
